File 3 Expressing your opinion - Writing

• Company has announced that it wishes to build a large factory near my community

The fact that a company has announced that it wishes to build a large factory near my community brings different points of view in the people.
In my opinion, the new factory could produce positive changes in my community and a lot of problems could be solved.
Firstly, the factory would bring much money to the population.
One advantage is the industrial unit creates opportunities for the people who are looking for a job.
In most cases the large company hires people living in the community.
Secondly, many plants pollute water and air and because of that, people could suffer from different kind of illnesses.
In addition, an opinion survey has showed that the toxins produced by the factory could produce cancer in the people who live around.
Finally, I believe that this disadvantage can be solved if the government controls the pollution that the factory produces, whereas the factory respects the rules, they could go on producing.
In conclusion, I think that a new factory is a very important opportunity for our community.
We have to take advantage of this situation; a company chooses our land and hires our people.
If we respect each other, both will have a better life!!!

Advice for Writers Jeffrey Archer

JUST GOOD FRIENDS - Jeffrey Archer

Review:

Very few authors are capable of writing good books everytime and Jeffrey Archer is definitely one of those authors. He always writes very good novels and short stories. Just good friends by Jeffrey Archer is a good short story. It just seems to be a normal story till the last page when suddenly readers gets a twist in the tale and the last line makes the readers imagination throughout reading the book go topsy turvy. The story is a narration and the narrator starts the story on a morning. The narrator just wakes up on a morning and looks at the guy next to her sleeping. She thinks that the guy will not get up till sometime and starts remembering the initial days of their meeting. They met in a bar after her boyfriend cheats on her and goes away after making her pregnant. She sees the guy with whom she lives now at a bar and feels jealous of a girl who goes with him to bar. After twenty days when they break up the narrator feels very happy and goes to the guy’s side and sits there. The guy looks up at the narrator and softly touches her cheek and takes her home. They would be living in his house since then. When she gets out of her thoughts she sees him get up and go to the kitchen. He pours milk into his cornflakes bowl and in another bowl pours milk and offers that bowl to the narrator and she swishes her tail and drinks it happily. The author wrote the story in such a way that no one gets the doubt that the narrator is not a woman but a cat.

Driving in Rosario
We think that these statistics are similar in our city, except the number 3. We think that driving at night is not four times as dangerous as driving during the day, it is only twice riskier.
In our city, specially in downtown, travelling is dangerous. In the rush hour there are traffic jams and people became really nervous. This is an extra risk.
In our opinion the punishment for dangerous drivers should be different. For some serious offences like going through red lights, driving too fast or drunkdriving the punishment should be strong. Driving licences shoul be kept by the authories and expensive fines should be paid.

Driving in Rosario.

In Rosario, roads are very dangerous, because people don't respect traffics laws, and drive very fast. Specially motorcyclists that work as delivery boys, nowadays lots of people call for take away food and they have to carry it just in time.

We think that driving too fast is the main reason of accidents. And drink-drivers are very dangerous too, especially at the weekends. We considerer that police controls in the streets can help to reduce the number of accidents.

Besides, the age at which a driver is most at risk is probably under 25, because youngsters don't realize the possible consequences of their actions. We think that a possible solution could be to impose more severe punishment to offenders, such as suspending their driving licenses.
